Pretty Romance Voile Projects

Voile projects are easy-to-make fresh accents to compliment your style! The light and graceful drape of my voile fabric lends itself to the breezy feel of these designs. Simple hand stitching and a few basic techniques are all that is needed to create these unique and elegant accessories.

Materials List
Allow extra yardage for matching or centering a design on your fabric.
FOR PEONY BLOOM FLOWER PINS
From 54″ wide Cotton Voile:
*NOTE: when you use two coordinating voile prints, ¼ yard each will allow you to make one of each of the 3 flower sizes.
- 1/8 yd of Main Print for size Small
- 1/4 yd of Main Print for sizes Medium and Large
- 1/8 yd of Coordinating Print for Small, Medium and Large
- 1/8 yd of 20” wide Buckram
*NOTE: 1/8 yd will be enough to make 10 flower pins, any size - (1) 2” x 4” piece of wool Felt in a coordinating color
- 1 spool of coordinating all-purpose thread – I use my Premium Threads from Rowan
- 2″ safety pin
- Hot glue gun and 1 hot glue stick (Optional)
- No pattern pieces needed.
FOR LOVELY PETALS NECKLACE (makes 1 necklace)
- 1/2 yd of 54” wide cotton voile
- 2 5/8 yds of 6mm tubular Satin ribbon, two-sided ribbon, velvet ribbon or suede
- 6” x 12” piece of double-sided fusible webbing interfacing (I used Pellon® Wonder Under®)
- 12 small 2 – 4mm beads
- 1 spool of coordinating all-purpose thread – I use my Premium Threads from Rowan
- Flower Petal pattern pieces, included
FOR BOHO BRAIDED NECKLACE (makes 1 necklace)
- 7/8 yd of 54” wide cotton voile
- 4 Large – 1” diameter beads (holes 6mm or larger)
- 2 strands of small seed beads each at least 14” in length
- 1 broach and/or a small piece of jewelry for embellishment
- 1 spool of coordinating all-purpose thread – I use my Premium Threads from Rowan
- Safety pin
- No pattern pieces needed.
FOR RUCHED SCARF
- 1 1/2 yds of 54” wide cotton voile
- 1 1/2 yds of pretty fringe for scarf ends
- 1 spool elastic thread for your sewing machine bobbin
- 1 spool of coordinating all-purpose thread – I use my Premium Threads from Rowan
- Masking tape
- No pattern pieces needed.
