This is 1 skein (10m) of Cottage Garden Threads 100% cotton 6 stranded thread.

Each skein/hank is pre-cut to 50cm lengths to a total of 10 metres (20 lengths). The skeins come beautifully packaged with full care instructions.

Cottage Garden Threads are hand-dyed in Australia by Pam Spurway. Her variegated palette is inspired by the natural beauty of the rural landscape of Australia. The variegation is designed with a short colour length of 2 to 3 inches especially for embroidery to enable a good variation of colour in smaller lengths of stitching.

Cottage Garden Threads are carefully hand over-dyed in small lots to ensure a quality product, therefore the dyeing processes and techniques are more labour intensive to ensure a beautiful quality stitchery thread.

Like any hand dyed thread, Cottage Garden Threads can not be guaranteed 100% colour fast… however these threads are processed very carefully to avoid colour loss and if cared for correctly, will have a 97 – 100% dye fastness. They meet standards for Australian Industry certified colour and light fast.
