Learn how to appliqué and create your own patchwork piping with our easy-to-follow instructions loaded with diagrams and photos! Full-size appliqué templates included (no enlarging or taping together!)

SUGGESTED FABRICS: designer cottons, shirtings or twills, 44″/45″ wide. Use Patty Young’s fabric collections for a modern and eclectic look. The sample pillows in this pattern feature Patty’s Lush fabric collection for Michael Miller Fabrics.

MATERIALS LIST:
• Coordinating fabric scraps of various sizes for Lotus appliqué and patchwork piping
• ½ yard solid-color fabric if making both front and back in solid fabric OR an extra ½ yard of a designer print for the envelope back.
• 2 yards 1/4″ wide cording to make your own piping (or use pre-made piping, if desired)
• 1/3 yard of 17″w lightweight fusible web (the sewable kind)
• Coordinating thread
• Zipper foot for your sewing machine
• 18″ square pillow form
